FAREWELL, ACCHAN

With profound love and reverence, we bow to the journey of Dr. P.K. Namboodiri—our beloved Acchan—who left us on 16th January 2025. Acchan never sought attention, yet his presence filled every space with quiet strength. He was not a man of grand proclamations, but when he spoke, his words carried the weight of experience, kindness, and deep wisdom. His hands healed countless patients as an orthopedic doctor, but his greatest gift was intangible—the warmth, assurance, and silent promise that goodness still existed in this world. In his later years, he embraced another kind of service—translating Mohanji’s blogs, books, and scriptures, bridging worlds through words, and making spiritual wisdom accessible to all who sought it. He didn’t just translate; he absorbed, reflected, and lived the essence of his work. Many considered his translations an art form in themselves. For those fortunate enough to meet him, Acchan was more than a mentor or a friend—he was a presence. He welcomed every member of the Mohanji family with warmth and sincerity, listening with genuine interest to stories of transformation and service. He found joy in the simplest moments—sharing a story, witnessing an act of kindness, and watching the people he loved grow into their purpose. He saw beyond faces and roles; he saw the essence in people.

A founding force in Ammucare, a mentor, a volunteer—Acchan embodied selfless service. He embraced all without distinction, offering guidance, encouragement, and quiet support. His absence leaves a silence, but his presence echoes in all of us who carry Mohanji’s mission forward.

Dear Acchan, we promise to honor you in every act of kindness, … and in that, you remain eternal.

Om Shanti.
